A nostalgic banana pudding made with creamy pudding, ripe bananas, and crunchy vanilla wafers, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/3 cup of cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 box of vanilla wafers
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Combine the dry ingredients in a saucepan: sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually whisk in the milk.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and begins to boil.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and butter.
  4. Layer the vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and pudding mixture in a dish. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours to let it set.
  6. Before serving, top with whipped cream.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
