Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup nuts or dried fruits (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish to prevent bars from sticking.
  2. Combine the rolled oats, milk, honey or maple syrup, eggs, applesauce, baking powder, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Stir until smooth.
  3. Add your choice of nuts or dried fruits to the mixture.
  4. Pour the oatmeal mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Refrigerate for up to a week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
