Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ready-to-use pie crust
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)

  • Diced pickles, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, ketchup, and mustard for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the chopped bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving some fat in the pan.
  3. Add the ground beef and onion to the skillet, cooking until browned and onions are softened.
  4. Stir in minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper. Drain excess fat.
  5. Return the crispy bacon to the beef mixture and stir to combine.
  6. Fold in half of the shredded cheese once cooled.
  7. Press the pie crust into a pie dish, ensuring it fits well.
  8. Spoon the beef and bacon mixture into the crust and top with remaining cheese.
  9. Brush the edges with a beaten egg, if desired.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is melted.
  11. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
  12. Serve with toppings of your choice.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add jalapeños or hot sauce to the beef mixture. You can also customize the cheese to your preference.
