A comforting and flavorful chicken dish wrapped in bacon with a sweet, caramelized brown sugar glaze.

  • 4 to 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts or preferred chicken pieces
  • 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 to 3 cloves garlic (minced or garlic powder to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper or to taste
  • 8 to 12 slices of regular cut bacon (enough to wrap each chicken piece)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare a baking dish by lightly greasing or lining it with foil or parchment paper.
  3. Combine the brown sugar, garlic, kosher salt, and black pepper in a mixing bowl.
  4. Coat each chicken piece with the brown sugar mixture.
  5. Wrap each piece of chicken with 1 to 2 slices of bacon, securing the ends underneath.
  6. Arrange the bacon-wrapped chicken in the prepared baking dish, leaving space between each piece.
  7. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the bacon is browned.
  8. Optional: Turn on the broiler for a few minutes for extra crispiness.
  9. Rest the chicken for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

This dish pairs beautifully with salads, roasted veggies, or mashed potatoes. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
