  • 4 medium apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, then add brown sugar.
  3. Arrange the sliced apples in the skillet over the brown sugar mixture.
  4. Mix together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
  6. Combine the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until smooth.
  7. Pour the batter over the arranged apples in the skillet.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool the cake for about 10 minutes before inverting onto a plate.
