A warm and comforting apple galette featuring tender spiced apples in a flaky crust, perfect for any occasion.

  • 23 medium apples, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Roll out the pie crust on a baking sheet to about 12 inches in diameter.
  4. Arrange the apple mixture in the center of the crust, leaving about 2 inches of edge free.
  5. Fold the edges of the crust over the apples.
  6. Brush the crust with the beaten egg and dot with butter if desired.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with whipped cream, ice cream, or a drizzle of caramel sauce. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
