A simple yet elegant Apple Galette that captures the warmth of baking with spiced apples in a flaky crust.

Ingredients

  • 23 medium apples, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Toss the apple slices with lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Roll out the pie crust on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Arrange the apple mixture in the center of the crust.
  5. Fold the edges of the crust over the apples, pleating as necessary.
  6. Brush the crust with the beaten egg and dot the apples with butter.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden and the apples are tender.
  8. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes
