A nostalgic dessert featuring warm baked apples topped with a crunchy, buttery oat mixture.

  • 6 cups sliced apples
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Toss the sliced apples with granulated sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  3. Spread the apple mixture evenly in a greased baking dish.
  4. Combine the oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Let the crisp cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
