A lightened-up version of the classic Chicken Parmesan made in the air fryer, providing crispy, cheesy goodness without the guilt.

  • 2 large Chicken Breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs, preferably Italian-seasoned
  • ½ cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • 2 Eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup Marinara Sauce, plus more for serving
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
  • Olive Oil Spray (Just a few spritzes for crisping)
  • Salt and Pepper (To taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Begin by gently pounding your chicken breasts to an even thickness.
  2. Set Up Your Breading Station: In one shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
  3. Bread the Chicken: Dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Air Fry the Chicken: Lightly spritz both sides of the chicken and cook for about 10 minutes.
  6. Add the Sauce and Cheese: Spoon marinara sauce over each piece and sprinkle with mozzarella.
  7. Final Air Fry: Return the chicken to the air fryer and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Serve and Enjoy: Let it rest and serve with extra marinara sauce.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days and reheated in the air fryer to maintain crispiness.
