A fusion dish combining tender chicken with a sweet mango glaze wrapped in crispy puff pastry, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, diced
  • 1 ripe mango, pureed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 package puff pastry, thawed
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix together the mango puree, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, ginger, and minced garlic in a bowl to create the glaze.
  3. Add the diced chicken to a skillet over medium heat and cook until fully cooked through, about 7-10 minutes.
  4. Remove the chicken from heat and toss it with the mango glaze until well coated.
  5. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into rectangles (about 3 inches by 4 inches).
  6. Place a spoonful of the glazed chicken onto each rectangle and fold into twists.
  7. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and carefully place the chicken twists on it.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the twists are golden brown and flaky.
  9. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container for 2-3 days; reheat in the oven for best texture.
