  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup caramel bits
  • Sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Incorporate the large egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl, then gradually add to the wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and caramel bits.
  6. Scoop portions of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  7. Add a sprinkle of sea salt on each cookie.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
