  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch cake pan.
  2. Combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk the eggs, brewed coffee, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and sour cream together until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool the cake in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
