A modern take on traditional lasagna, this sheet pan version offers all the heartiness without the fuss of layering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef or sausage
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1.5 cups ricotta cheese
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly spray a sheet pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Brown the ground beef or sausage in a skillet over medium heat until it’s crumbled and cooked through; drain the excess grease.
  3. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the sheet pan. Then, layer the lasagna noodles directly over the sauce.
  4. Spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles, followed by half of the meat and a generous sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.
  5. Repeat layering with the remaining ingredients until you fill the pan to the top.
  6. Top with grated Parmesan cheese, cover with foil, and bake for 30 minutes; then uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  7. Let the lasagna cool slightly before serving, then garnish with fresh basil for that perfect finishing touch.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3-4 days or frozen for up to 2 months. Reheat in the microwave or oven.
