Indulge in these soft and pillowy Double Chocolate Cinnamon Rolls swirled with chocolate chips and a hint of cinnamon. Perfect for a cozy breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup whole milk (warm)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy. Mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt in another bowl. Add melted butter and the yeast mixture to dry ingredients. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 8-10 minutes.
  2. Let it rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot until doubled, about 1 hour.
  3. Roll it out: Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  4. Add fillings: Spread remaining melted butter over the dough and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and chocolate chips. Roll tightly.
  5. Slice & arrange: Cut dough into thick slices, place in a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
