A comforting, creamy chicken dish featuring cream cheese and garlic, perfect for family dinners.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp dried thyme or parsley (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  4. Mix softened cream cheese, minced garlic, and soy sauce until smooth.
  5. Place the seasoned chicken in the prepared baking dish and pour the cream cheese mixture over it.
  6. Pour chicken broth around the edges of the dish.
  7. Sprinkle dried thyme or parsley over the top of the chicken.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Serve hot, drizzling the remaining sauce from the dish over each portion.

Notes

For a spicy kick, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the cream cheese mixture.
