A delightful blend of traditional banana bread and cinnamon rolls, featuring cozy spices and a sweet glaze.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (or dairy-free alternative)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas until smooth, then blend in the melted butter.
  3. Add in the vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt. Stir until well combined.
  4. Mix in the sugar and flour until just combined.
  5. Combine ground cinnamon with brown sugar for the cinnamon swirl.
  6. Pour half of the banana batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture on top.
  7. Repeat with the remaining banana batter and sprinkle the last of the cinnamon mixture on top.
  8. Swirl the batter and cinnamon together gently with a knife.
  9. Bake for about 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  11. Mix powdered sugar with milk for the glaze and drizzle over the cooled bread.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for the sweetest flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
