Delightful Churro Cruffins merge flaky croissant goodness with the beloved flavors of churros, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

  • 1 can of refrigerated croissant dough
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup of butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup of chocolate or dulce de leche for filling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven and Prepare the Muffin Tin: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease your muffin tin.
  2. Roll Out and Cut the Croissant Dough: Open the dough and cut it into 12 triangles.
  3. Mix Sugar and Cinnamon: Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  4. Butter Up Those Triangles: Dip each triangle into melted butter.
  5. Coat with Sugar-Cinnamon Mixture: Coat each buttered triangle in the sugar-cinnamon mix.
  6. Shape and Place in Muffin Tin: Roll triangles into tubes and place them snugly in the muffin tin.
  7. Add Optional Filling: Insert a dollop of chocolate or dulce de leche into each triangle.
  8. Bake to Perfection: Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool and Enjoy!: Let cool slightly and enjoy warm.
