Delicious Chinese beef dumplings filled with ground beef and crunchy celery, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 cup finely chopped celery
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 package round dumpling wrappers (about 30 wrappers)
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon chili oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, chopped celery, minced garlic, grated ginger, and soy sauce until everything is well combined.
  2. Assemble the Dumplings: Place about one tablespoon of filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper, moisten the edges with water, fold and pinch to seal.
  3. Cook the Dumplings: Steam in a steamer basket for 10-12 minutes or pan-fry in a skillet over medium-high heat until golden brown.
  4. Make the Dipping Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together rice vinegar and chili oil.
  5. Serve: Gather dumplings on a plate, serve hot with dipping sauce on the side.

Notes

Ensure dumplings are sealed tightly to prevent opening during cooking. Dumplings can be frozen before cooking.
