A comforting blend of tender chicken, crispy breadcrumbs, and hearty marinara sauce topped with melted mozzarella cheese.

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (e.g., penne or spaghetti)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sprinkle salt and pepper generously over the chicken breasts.
  3. Combine the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese in a mixing bowl.
  4. Press each chicken breast into the breadcrumb mixture for thorough coating.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the chicken on both sides.
  6. Transfer the browned chicken to a baking dish and spoon marinara sauce over it, then sprinkle on shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked through and the cheese is golden brown.
  8. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  9. Serve the chicken over the pasta and garnish with fresh basil if desired.
