A comforting dish featuring crispy chicken thighs in a luscious creamy garlic sauce, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken thighs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken thighs generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat the olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Sear the chicken thighs skin side down and cook for about 7-8 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes until cooked through.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
  5. Sauté the minced garlic in the same skillet for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
  7. Add the fresh thyme and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  8. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts and the sauce is creamy.
  9. Return the chicken thighs to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them.
  10. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through and meld the flavors. Serve garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For best results, pat the chicken dry before seasoning to achieve a crispier skin. Adjust the thickness of the sauce by varying the chicken broth amount.
