A vibrant and comforting beef stir fry recipe that comes together in less than 20 minutes, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 medium carrots, sliced thinly
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients by slicing the beef sirloin into thin strips. Slice the bell peppers, chop the broccoli, and julienne the carrots. Chop the green onions.
  2. Mix the flavor base in a medium bowl by whisking together the soy sauce, sesame oil, and minced garlic.
  3. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, and add 1 tablespoon of oil.
  4. Sear the beef in a single layer for about 3 to 4 minutes without stirring, allowing it to caramelize, then stir to finish cooking.
  5. Stir-fry the sliced bell peppers, broccoli florets, and carrot strips for about 3 minutes until they are crisp-tender.
  6. Combine the prepared sauce with beef and veggies, tossing to ensure everything is nicely coated, and cook for another minute.
  7. Serve immediately with steamed rice or noodles.
