Delicious banana bread brownies that combine the sweetness of bananas with rich chocolate flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the mashed bananas with melted butter in a mixing bowl.
  3. Stir in sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Add the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips if desired.
  6. Pour the batter into your prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the brownies to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for better flavor. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
