A simple yet elegant dish that combines tender chicken breasts with a balsamic marinade and melted mozzarella cheese, perfect for impressing family and guests.

  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic powder, dried basil, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour the balsamic mixture over them.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through.
  5. Remove the chicken from the oven and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  6. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
