A comforting grilled cheese sandwich with crispy bacon, melting cheese, and toasted bread, perfect for a quick meal or as a nostalgic treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 slices of cheese (e.g., cheddar or American)
  • 23 slices of cooked bacon
  • Butter (for spreading)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread generously.
  3. Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet and layer the cheese and bacon on top.
  4. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  5. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes.
  6. Remove the sandwich, let it cool for a minute, slice, and serve hot.

Notes

Pairs well with tomato soup or a garden salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
